Biography

Matt Carroll leads operations for XPO's West Division. He previously served as senior vice president of engineering and linehaul, helping build one of the industry’s most efficient linehaul networks while playing a key role in many of the company’s largest operational initiatives. Mr. Carroll joined XPO in 2018 as senior director of projects and engineering and subsequently served as vice president of engineering and project management before being promoted to senior vice president in 2024. Prior to joining XPO, he held leadership positions with Target and served as a captain in the U.S. Army and National Guard, where he developed his expertise in transportation, logistics and operations. Mr. Carroll holds an MBA from Norwich University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Michigan State University.
